Refresh your guests at your next summer party with a cool GFruit Icee. This fruity dessert is perfect for entertaining — but easy on the host — as it is best served when made at least 8 hours in advance. That’s enough time for your to relax before treating yourself to this perfect blend of GFruit antioxidants and minty sweetness that you don’t have to feel guilty about.


GFruit Icee
Makes: about 8 servings

2 jars GFruit (cold)
8 cups water
4 tablespoons lemon juice
8 tablespoons honey or simple syrup
Handful chopped mint leaves (reserve some whole leaves for garnish)
Grenadine or pomegranate juice
Make at least 8 hours before serving

Simple Syrup:

Pour equal parts water and sugar in sauce pan over medium heat until sugar is dissolved.
Let mixture cool before pouring in recipe.


Empty GFruit jars into a strainer over a medium-sized bowl to remove seeds from pulp. Pour seedless GFruit pulp into blender with water, lemon juice, chopped mint leaves and honey or simple syrup (see recipe).

Once ingredients are thoroughly blended, pour the mixture into a flat glass container or punch bowl that can fit inside the freezer.

Add a few drops of grenadine or pomegranate juice into the mixture. With a fork or spoon, mix the ingredients to form a marbled texture. Be careful not to over blend.

Place the container in the freezer. Every 2 hours, swirl the mixture with a fork or spoon to create a swirled, icee effect.

Serve GFruit Icee in individual bowls, with mint leaf for garnish.

For best results, make this recipe at least 8 hours before serving.
